A Case of Meckel-Gruber Syndrome with the Cardiac and Pulmonary Anomaly

Abstract
|
|
|
The major features of Meckel-Gruber syndrome are occipital encephalocele, postaxial polytactyly, and polycystic kidneys. This syndrome is lethal and its cause is still unknown due to rarity.
At present, autosomal recessive is thougth to be as one of the causes. The importance of recognizing this syndrome is the high risk of recurrence(one in four) in future pregnancies.
A case of Meckel-Gruber syndrome combined cardiac anomaly and pulmonary anomaly of very lower incidence is presented with a brief literature review and autopsy
